This page is for information related to the Bermuda Island specifically.

The situation now:
Designated blood donations as well as donations of your own blood for yourself are obviously possible in the only hospital in Bermuda. However, they may not welcome you warmly if you ask for it – this is what we will change.

What WE do:
Our acting plans:
We are in the process of setting up a team for Bermuda, which will establish the most feasible way to reach our goal, the free choice of blood (and blood donor) without being judged when asking for it. This will happen through finding medical partners (hospitals, laboratory chains, private practices etc.) world wide, and most importantly, by trying to reduce the need for transfusions in general with clear advises for medical staff in our membersโ€˜ living will.
We will write to all potential medical partners regarding their policies with unvaccinated patients, and will publish the results in our member area (under “Medical partner search“). For now you will find this link regarding the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A telegram channel for easy information is complementing this page here. And of course you are welcome to follow us on Twitter.
You can search for a donor in the member area under “Search for blood donor“. Please don’t write me an email “is there a blood donor with AB+ in Washington?” – you find the answer yourself under the mentioned link.

There is one organisation taking care of the rights of the unvaccinated population on Bermuda, and our team is working on establishing a cooperation with them. Visit their website: https://jointhecast.org/

What YOU can do:

If you want to join us and help within the team, please contact us.
Spread the word, and most importantly, become a member โ€“ because only together we are strong.

Please note that there are NO blood donation stations set up yet, nowhere in Bermuda and the US, as we need medical partners for this purpose first. This will take some time, but we are very close and being approached by private medical labs on a daily basis. Check back here frequently and subscribe to our newsletter (under “Contact”).

CONTACTS:
You can contact our team by email:

One question we often hear is “How much do you pay for my blood?
We are an NGO and the reward for your blood donation is to know that you will also get uncontaminated blood once you will need it. So no, we don’t pay – we are “members taking care of members”, a community aware of a huge threat to our health – we are not “blood dealers”. We can and will never make a business with your blood. So the label “SafeBlood” will be a brand you can trust. Other private labs will buy your blood – and sell it to the cosmetic and rejuvenation industry. If you don’t mind, sell your blood there. If you want to save lives, stick to us.

Updates and NEWS:
Are posted here below by our team of authors โ€“ the most important news are updated here regularly.

Good news for Canadians, Europeans, Mexicans and citizens of all other countries, including Bermuda, coming to the U.S. for surgery: As of May 11, 2023, the Biden administration has lifted its Covid-19 vaccine mandate on all foreign air travelers entering the United States. This means everybody is welcome to have surgery in the US, where many hospitals allow free choice of blood donors. And since we have many members in the US, there are plenty of blood donors available to share with safeblood members from countries, where the free choice is not possible yet. Should you prefer to have treatments done in the USA you can do so, however, depending on your insurance coverage, you may have to pay the treatments yourself – so make sure you check first.

Last remark: You want to know whether we have a matching blood donor in your area? become a member and search for it here. As a member you are able to search by blood group AND location.

We have had good experience with this method, especially in Italy. We know that nothing works without pressure if we want to avoid mRNA-contaminated transfusion. So the following procedure is…
